Seeking a highly motivated lead quality assurance (QA) analyst to assist the hiring manager with the ongoing implementation and support of Hewlett Packard’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Quality Center (QC) testing software to support the current testing activities for the IBM Payments Director project.


Key Activities


Assist the hiring manager and consultative resources with activities surrounding the implementation and ongoing support of HP ALM QC. This will include building and refining the foundational structures in each of the QC modules such as Release, requirements, test plan and test lab.

Work with the hiring manager and key QA stakeholders within CAS to develop best practice processes where applicable.

Identify gaps in existing QA processes and procedures as compared to industry best practices. Define and develop business processes to close those gaps utilizing HP ALM QC.

Serve as a site administrator and implement configuration changes within ALM QC to support business processes.

Create automated scripts in Quick Test Professional utilizing a visual basic descriptive programming approach and incorporate those scripts into HP ALM QC for overall enterprise level reporting and tracking.

Utilizing MS SQL, mine data in HP ALM to answer business questions and generate trend reporting on QA activities. Make those reports distributable to a MS Share Point site in an automated fashion.

Identify and build standard reporting in QC around QA activities



Qualifications



Bachelors degree in a computer sciences related field or equivalent work experience (required).

Proven high initiative, focus and adaptability (required).

Demonstrated ability to learn and understand new software quickly (required).

2 plus years of developing and implementing QA best practice processes and procedures and enterprise level reporting for a variety of audiences. (required). Use of testing software to augment developed processes and procedures and facilitate reporting (preferred).

2 to 5 years of advanced software QA testing (required). Utilization of the HP ALM QC suite or other software to facilitate testing activities (preferred).

Demonstrated ability to work with business users to create automated scripts in Quick Test Professional, or other automated testing software, utilizing visual basic and a descriptive programming technique (preferred).

Proven ability to develop ad hoc reporting and conduct data mining activities utilizing MS SQL, Access and Excel.

Proven ability to develop testing artifacts (test plans, test cases, test scripts and etc.) based off of complex workflows, business and technical requirements, detailed design documents and other application development artifacts.

Experience testing applications written in or running on (Webshphere, Crystal Reports, Java, MQ, DB2 or Oracle)

Experience with testing XML files

Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle

Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, MS SQL, Visual Basic, Share Point and lotus notes
