Education:
Requires B.S. in an engineering discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial-Systems Engineering or equivalent. Prefer some formal training or INCOSE certification in Systems Engineering.
Experience and skills:
Requires a minimum of three years of experience related to the job functions shown below. This experience must include one or more years working in a rigorous interdisciplinary engineering environment developing products or processes using systems engineering methodology, and strong engineering design and analysis with practical hands-on experience. Experience should also include experimental design and statistical analysis. Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as Teamcenter, DOORS or Cradle are a plus. Working knowledge or experience with MATHCAD, MINITAB, SYSML, is beneficial as well. Must be skilled in all Microsoft Office products primarily MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.

Job Description:
1. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, to support product design, development and implementation,
2. Support development of system level requirements, requirements analysis and requirements management.
3. Support functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
4. Utilizing a risk management approach to ensure early identification of technical and project issues.
5. Develop interface control drawings, support system integration and system functional analyses, and support verification and validation testing.
6. Assist with design of experiments, and conduct testing to prove design concepts and scientific principles.
7. Communicate effectively with ATK internal customers in presentations, informal communications, and written reports.
