Data Exchange Team Developer

Imagine being on a software team that works together to create new features and fix bugs.  A team that understands the importance of communication, and getting things done right.   Pair programming, chat rooms, scrums, and retrospectives are part of your team's culture.  You won’t often find us heads down, headphones blaring, coding to our favorite tracks.  You will usually see us side by side, (physically or virtually) discussing the current day’s challenges, and working through them together.

The primary objective of the team is writing and maintaining software for the exchange of data with third party systems. The team maintains, and supports some older .NET 4.5.2 Windows Services code bases, and is currently working to develop some modular ASP.NET Web APIs, and services that most of the future business critical software will depend on.

As a developer on the team you will be outfitted with Visual Studio 2013 Update 4, ReSharper 8.1, Beyond Compare, Sql Server 2012, and an up to date Visual Studio Enterprise MSDN License, along with access to JIRA and Confluence for bug and feature tracking. All of your C# application source code, and Sql Server Database projects are hosted in Team Foundation Server 2015.  A few of the .NET libraries you will be working with include RhinoETL, RhinoESB, and TopShelf. Prior experience with these is not required.

As our team strives to improve our software and processes, some of our tools will evolve.  In the future we will upgrade to Visual Studio 2015, ReSharper 9, .NET 4.6, some of our source code will be migrated from TFS to Git, and sometime next year RavenDB will be introduced.

Our team is frequently faced with new challenges, and is in a growth phase. We are looking for an experienced, passionate, innovative, C# developer to help our team deliver software and services to meet our business’ goals of today and tomorrow.
