| The Designer (Level I) is responsible for taking a graphical idea to an aesthetic solution which fulfills the client's goals. In doing so, the solution will work within and in specific instances expand upon the UMB brand in a variety of graphic design capacities. This position has an emphasis on pre-press print design. However, there will be requirements to provide solutions within digital and multimedia. The individual within this role will need to collaborate, work with a senior designer and provide effective communication with their team, clients and peers. Most importantly, this role requires staying ahead of technology, keeping up-to-date with new practices within the graphical and advertising fields and a thirst for what's next.
The individual must be able to competently present artwork to internal clients, manage their personal workload, provide accurate timelines for projects and support the multimedia/interactive team as needed. |
