Key Activities
• Advanced in participating and developing in skills to lead the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise(Middleware, BI, Application ) technology solutions for the organization’s most strategic and complex projects, utilizing broad industry awareness and expertise.
• Proficient in leading alternative analyses, including researching vendor solutions, system platforms, third-party frameworks, and best practices, as well as making recommendations.
• Advanced at implementing complex systems and software components, in compliance with Industry and System standards, which meet customer needs and expectations with respect to key project/product performance measures; quality, schedule, and cost. Requires the ability to independently implement, configure and document solutions, while adhering to all applicable standards (e.g., architectural, security and configuration checklists). May participate in system workgroups to contribute to the formation and evolution of Systems standards.
• Proficient at analyzing business requirements and creating technical designs and specifications for independent implementation. Seeks guidance and mentoring from lead administrators during the implementation phase, to ensure implementations meet design specifications and adhere to established standards. Additionally, provides mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff through-out the technology lifecycle.
• Competent at creating estimates, work breakdown structures, and resource assignments on assigned administration tasks. Collaboratively works with leads, managers and project managers to incorporate development activities into master delivery schedule.
• Competent at consulting with customers, developers and project managers in a support role or when assisting more senior level staff in the formulation of technology strategies in collaboration with business partners.
• Proficient at leading by example and routinely demonstrates high performance in the areas of customer service, collaboration, team work, and reliability.
• Competent at communicating status and progress on assignments. Raises issues and risks in a timely fashion and effectively contributes to mitigating activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an information technology field (e.g., Computer/Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS), Computer Science (CS), Electrical/Computer Engineering (EE/CE), or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• 4 years of experience with SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 3.x or above
• Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency along with formal training and/or certifications preferred in the specific technology provided below:
o Experience with WebSphere Apache Tomcat and Oracle 11g database connectivity
o Experience with Webi reports and dashboards
o Experience using Lifecycle manager.
o Working knowledge of Windows AD SSO and LDAP integration.
o Understanding of Custom Access Levels and BI 4.x security setup
o Configure System Monitoring software to provide failure alerts, warnings and performance reports. For example, Sitescope.
o Experience using Lifecycle manager.
• Experience with production support of highly available applications
• Capable of assessing business requirements and predicting the needed future growth and scaling within a shared Business Objects environment.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity management.
• Database knowledge with basic queries and configuration
• Work with IT and business users to resolve support and technical questions. Open support tickets as necessary.
• Active Directory – user and group management, AD Group Policies and how they affect Shared folders, NTFS permissions, local security policy and integration with Enterprise-level applications
• Security Assessments of middleware applications and software patching, system audits and account maintenance against varied environments.
• Strong ability to work in a highly focused technical environment together with other motivated and driven professionals, as well as the ability to work independently
• Excellent documentation and collaboration skills
• May require frequent weekend or evening hours and being on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
