Job Summary

Applies Six Sigma principles to analyze business problems and issues, and provides insight and process improvement recommendations. 

 

Key Activities

  • Recommends improvements to processes or technical solutions to resolve identified gaps or improve underlying issues.
  • Analyzes moderately complex to highly complex business problems and issues across System Supervision and Regulation using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers including recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
  • Partners with leadership in driving process change, implementing changes, and ensures impacts to business are understood and accepted.
  • Facilitates identification, prioritization, selection, and scope of business process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts analysis on various departmental, local, or System programs with limited data to identify trends, measures process value and performance, identifies and validates root causes; makes recommendations and provides alternatives to management based on business objectives.
  • Provides status updates, training, and consulting to stakeholders at all levels of the organization for business process improvement and change/project management disciplines.
  • Helps design, organize and facilitate workshops, seminars and trainings for business process improvement.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates Bank and/or System project activities and resources to ensure project goals are completed on time and with optimum quality.
  • Provides direction, prioritization and conflict resolution in managing project teams to accomplish project objectives.
  • Communicates project goals and results to the organization and Bank management.
  • Ensures ongoing use of and adherence to Federal Reserve policies and practices including established business process improvement methodologies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree specializing in business, project management, or closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or directly related work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Black Belt or Master Black Certified in Lean / Six Sigma.
  • Eight or more years of project management, business process improvement, business analysis or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience applying Lean / Six Sigma principals to service based projects a plus.
  • Experience in banking and financial services desired.
  • Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Internet, and e-mail programs.
  • Excellent to exceptional analytical ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to drive and influence a team and project environment.
