General machine design with hand on experience with emphasis in machine and mechanisms design for high volume manufacturing operation. 2. Tooling design for metal forming (deep draw) – a plus. 3. Machine and mechanisms troubleshooting potentiality. 4. Practical experience and proof of direct involvement in machine design effort from the conception through implementation in to production. 5. Knowledge of Standard and Metric systems (dimensional and geometric tolerances and allowances). HM needs a mechanical design engineer with minimum 10 years of practical experience Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide support to Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Department • Lead the most complex and challenging mechanical design projects based on creativity, focusing on implementation of automatic operations and modern technology. • Coordinate design proposals and develop test data and specification of material through interaction with internal and external customers. • Design, develop and draw layouts of complex assemblies, devices, mechanisms, structures and prototypes. • Investigate pertinent design factors including ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, contractual requirements, and cost. • Check completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions. • Contribute to resolution of machinery down time issues by providing direction and a high level of technical expertise to Manufacturing/Reliability Engineers and Maintenance personnel. • Follow established drafting standards and drawing change management procedure in ePIC. Position Requirements: • Significant knowledge and experience in manufacturing equipment design, including specification of component materials. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred. • The level of experience we are seeking would normally be attained after 10 or more years in the field. • Experience in the manufacture of mechanical components with tight tolerances (+-.003). • Advanced experience with Pro-E for mechanical design is firm requirement. • A clear understanding of manufacturing and machining processes, the ability to work in a team environment, and strong skills in Microsoft office. • Tool and die fabrication and FEA experience is a plus.
