Responsibilities
The duties of the IT Security Specialist will include the following 3 aspects:
- Fulfill the Network Support Engineer role that may involve the following tasks as needed.
- Daily IT operation for a small internal office network environment and trouble shoot for any problems that relate to endpoint, servers and network
- Trouble shoot any potential problems related with Internal Network infrastructure
- Technical support for people using the network
- Day to day admin and monitoring of network use
- Server deployment and management as needed
- Information Security Engineer
- Safeguarding all Information technology in an internal office environment, which includes IT Infrastructure, Networks, System Assets, Data, and all areas of Cyber Security, by actively identifying potential security issues, and implementation of best practice security solutions
- Deployment, and daily operation of Network security systems such as next generation Firewall, IPS, etc.
- Deployment and daily operation of endpoint security systems including but not limited to anti-virus, network access control systems
- Deployment and daily operation of data security systems such as Data Leaking Prevention (DLP) systems
- May need to maintain the application and Database servers’ security as needed
- Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations
- Provide weekly report on information security related issues and status update to supervisors and related collaborating team
- Compliance Management
- Support the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and collaborating team on all regulation and compliance related matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of an information system.
Skills and Qualifications
- Has CCNP level certifications and has experience with next generation firewalls such as Palo Alto Firewall
- CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar information security certifications are preferred.
- Experience in several of the following areas: Network Firewalls, TCP/IP, Network Security, Information Security Policies, Network Protocols, Routers, Hubs, and Switches, DLPs and endpoint security
- Need to work with international team for network and system trouble shooting
- Hands-on security troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy policies & Security best practices
