Teleconference Number 877.871.7101, Passcode 1203649 PleProject Engineer BASIC REQUIREMENTS: The Project Management Organization (PMO) is currently executing Capital Investment Projects (CAPEX) projects at the Lake City Facility. These projects include Process Control Technology, Advanced Material Handling and Control, and Installation of a Commercial Case Wash System for Building 1. In order to facilitate execution of these projects, a Project Manager position has been created to support these projects and others within the CAPEX Program of the PMO. The successful candidate will work with and/or lead a cross-function technical group and serve as a member of the CAPEX team within the PMO. Successful candidate will also: •Coordinate and direct outside contractors, consultants, and vendor related activities. •Supervise equipment start-up and implement best practices for manufacturing and quality control. •Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to deliver a complete and workable system that meets manufacturing objectives for safety, quality, and throughput. •Responsible for projects across production areas from inception to installation and final system validation; provide technical direction for tooling, materials, process modifications, and procedure development; take action to mitigate project risks. •Responsible for proposal development to including writing, cost estimates, risk evaluations, and opportunities that benefit customers and ATK. •Oversee technical drawing development from creation to final ePIC integration. •Communicate effectively with ATK internal customers, engineers, technicians, managers, and employees at all levels. •Interact with vendors to clarify requirements and oversee design development, fabrication, and acceptance testing. •Assist with project closeout documentation and contract closure activities. Required Experience: •BS in core engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical engineering, etc.) •Requires 3+ years of related experience in a high volume, automated, manufacturing environment. •Requires working knowledge of, factory operations, work place organization, proactive/predictive/preventive maintenance practices. •Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. •Proven experience in managing projects involving production equipment, process improvement, contractors, facilities and infrastructure. •Lean manufacturing experience a plus. •Strong oral and written communication skills. •Ability to coordinate and achieve results while working with internal departments as well as outside suppliers. •Experience with development of project SOW’s, risk analysis and mitigation, schedule development, estimating, and project execution to scope, dollar value and timeline.
