Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and ongoing management of an enterprise Center of Excellence focused on use of best practices and consistent guidelines for testing, including manual and automated testing, and business analysis.
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently, which may entail coordinating the daily work of more than one team.
  • Develops, maintains, communicates, monitors and reports on project plans and goals. Ensures projects are successfully completed within agreed upon scope, budget and duration.
  • Leads by example, inspires others, builds consensus, makes difficult decisions with confidence, and provides direction for staff consistent with project goals.
  • Mentors and develops training programs for staff.
  • Participates in strategic planning at the department level and also makes direct contributions at the division level.
  • Assists with the development and preparation, as well as the conscientious administration, of the department’s annual budget, including monthly variance reporting.
  • Identifies and brings areas of risk or concern to management’s attention along with suggestions on how these issues can be addressed.
  • Plans and accomplishes tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for all aspects of management related to business area staff on the team.

Minimum Education and/or experience required:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with 8 years’ of related work experience; or an Associate’s degree with 10 years’ related experience; or 12 years related work experience. Previous management experience is required.

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Experience establishing and leading a Testing Center of Excellence.
  • Highly effective leading change and building consensus with cross-divisional business and technology partners.
  • High level of expertise and experience using key NAIC testing tools, including ALM/UFT, Selenium,
  • Experience managing a critical business process to establish buy-in and commitment to use of testing best practices.
  • Experience managing personnel administration for a team of direct reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and PeopleSoft to complete job responsibilities.
  • Expertise using LoadRunner, business analysis experience and strong knowledge of business analysis best practices is strongly desired.
