Responsible for all Quality Engineering functions in assigned work areas. 2. Experienced with development and implementation of In-process and Acceptance Inspection Plans. 3. Experienced in the development of JI’s (Job Instructions). 4. Possess solid knowledge and background in statistical process control and statistical analysis. 5. Knowledge of Minitab and Infinity software desired. 6. Possess solid knowledge of Gage R&R (Reliability and Reproducibility) studies. 7. Act as chair of the Material Review Board (MRB) in assigned area. 8. Act as liaison with Government customer. 9. Experienced in dimensional gauging and testing methods as applicable (Rockwell hardness, grain size, etc.) 10. Knowledgeable in Government sampling and inspection plans including MIL-STD-1916 and AQL. 11. Applies Lean Engineering/Manufacturing principals. 12. Champion variability reduction throughout the process and eliminating waste. 13. Solid problem solving skills including 8-D, 5-Why, Root Cause Analysis, Cause/Effect. 14. Experience in leading Failure Analysis activities. 15. Ability to mentor, coach, and train hourly as well as salary employees. 16. Experience in cold forming, cold heading and heat treatment of copper alloys and medium carbon steel desired. 17. Minimum 3 to 5 year experience desired. 18. Educational background in Quality Engineering, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering desired.
