Required Skills: The position prefers experience in applying Software Safety Engineering practices to all phases of a program. •Proficient in performing software safety analyses for software critical systems (Experience with Air Force and Navy Programs) •Experience in preparing for and conducting safety reviews with DoD Safety Review Boards •Knowledge of STANAG 4404 & MIL-STD-1316 •Experience with MIL-STD-882 safety process. •Able to present technical information in written and oral form with clarity. •Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel. •Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. This position requires excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills. Application of Systems Engineering to DoD weapons programs with mechanical, electrical, software, and platform integration elements is beneficial. The successful candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Job Description: •Performs Software Safety Analyses. •Performs Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA). •Performs System Safety Assessments (SSA). •Prepare System Safety Hazard Analysis Report (SSHA) •Prepare Safety Assessment Report (SAR) •Performs Fault Tree Analyses (FTA). •Develop safety documentation and presentation materials for safety review board meetings •Performs Failure mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). •Interacts and coordinates Safety activities with customer and internal project team •Maintains 100% compliance to processes and procedures.
